Information on becoming a SponsorIn 1997 we organized a quality community event…The Santa Train. Over two thousand people, young and old alike, rode this train and all enjoyed the beautifully appointed cars and a visit with Santa Claus and his family. Because of increasing costs, we are seeking SPONSORS or PARTNERS to help keep this community event going. Below is a proposal for sponsorship of The Santa Train. I hope your company will consider joining us as a SPONSOR or PARTNER. If you wish to talk to a representative from our troop e-mail us at rudy294@charter.net. Someone will be contacting you shortly to discuss this with you in more detail and to answer any questions you may have about The Santa Train. THE SANTA TRAIN PROPOSAL OBJECTIVE To include your corporation in an original Madison area quality family and community event PURPOSE The Santa Train is a fund-raising enterprise, sponsored by Boy Scout Troops 102 of Madison. This is a yearly event, and is in the process of becoming a featured Holiday tradition in Southern Wisconsin. EVENT The Santa Train is an inter-generational, family-oriented activity, bringing children, parents and grandparents together for an opportunity to experience the romance and fun of train travel, even if only for a short time. It combines the mystery, history and love of the American railroad with the magic of Santa Claus. Santa Claus and his family will distribute gifts to children as mementos of the event. FEATURES
LOCATION Prior to 2002 the Santa Train operated out of the Waunakee or Middleton train depots. Since 2003 we have used the North Freedom train depot. SALES M&I Bank (a Santa Train sponsor) will offer tickets to the public through its Fall Newsletter. Pre-sale of tickets will be done by direct mail programs and offered through Scout Troops and individual efforts. Corporations wishing to purchase blocks of tickets for charitable donations, employees, or customers are encouraged to do so. IDENTITY OPPORTUNITIES Sponsors and Partners will enjoy excellent visibility while becoming part of a new Madison tradition. It will soon have the visibility of Rhythm and Booms. The Boy Scouts, who are the beneficiaries of this event are tremendously loyal and will insure that the interests of the Sponsors and Partners are realized. DESIGNATIONS: "Sponsor" (Eagle Scout Level) - $5,000 A "Sponsor" provides major support for the event. "Partner" (Star Scout Level) A "Partner" assists with the purchase of tickets for Less Chance Youth organizations, items for the gift bag and promotional support.
